How We Work

ALNBM Architects Ltd follow the 7 stages of the RIBA Plan of Work which cover the entire project from conception to completion.

STAGE 0

The first stage is the introduction  where  people will approach us with an objective on what they want to achieve and we demonstrate how we can work with you to design and implement your project. This determines the framework for the project

STAGE 1

Preparation and Briefing follows. This is where we use the information you have already provided us to determine what your key objectives are and to produce feasibility studies.

STAGE 2

The next 3 stages focus on  the design elements of the project. The first stage is the where we provide you with concept designs of the designs that we have derived from your initial brief. At this stage we will aim to firm up on the brief and you will start to receive visualisation drawings

STAGE 3

The spacial coordination stage is next.  This is where we develop the concept drawings and look at the structural design, building services and can start preparing draft budgets.

STAGE 4

The  final design phase is the technical design where the level of detail starts to be enhanced to determine what materials you wish to use and to obtain accurate costs from contractors.

STAGE 5

The next stage is Construction where we will work closely with the contractors to answer any questions that they may have on the design.

STAGE 6

The final two stages are where the project is handed over to you, any defects are remedied and we make sure that you receive all the necessary documentation for the project including gas and electrical certificates and as built drawings.

STAGE 7

This involves the care of the building and evaluating whether it is working as intended. We check in with you to see how the building is performing and to get your feedback on our work for you.
